On Thursday 15th April 2010 at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton, Cruden were delighted to be a part of the Aim Higher – Don't Stop Me Now conference aimed at Work Based Learning Providers to communicate the benefits of supporting higher education following apprenticeships.

Cruden know the benefits involved in training, developing and investing in our staff – we have been doing it for over 40 years. Through our ESCALATE training and development programme, Cruden invest over £300k and 2000 training days every year to support the future growth of our business.

Together, Barry Curran and Emma Jayne Paterson from the Cruden team gave four presentations to Work Based Learning Providers from the Greater Manchester area to communicate the benefits of higher education from the employers perspective. Communicating the impact of a knowledgeable, well motivated team on the success of our business and how we deliver higher education through the ESCALATE programme.

Through ESCALATE Cruden support and mentor Apprentices on plumbing, brick laying, joinery and electrician apprenticeships and encourage those who show talent and determination to go on to higher education to develop their career in the construction industry.

Other presentations included talks from the Apprentices perspective, from Apprentices who have progressed on to higher education, financial support providers for Apprentices and advise on routes in to higher education in Greater Manchester.
