Cruden Energy Solutions demonstrated how to quickly adapt to our clients' needs by installing over 825 PV Solar Panels in just six weeks following the announcement made by The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) on 31st October 2011.
The DECC announced that all new PV Solar Panel installations would receive a much lower Feed In Tariff (FIT) following the review that had been brought forward. The new proposed tariffs would apply to all new solar PV installations with an eligibility date on or after 12 December 2011. Such installations would receive the current tariff before moving to the lower tariffs on 1 April 2012. However, for consumers with an eligibility date before 12 December, they will receive the current rates for 25 years.
This news generated a large volume of new projects, and pre scheduled projects, to be brought forward to meet the 12th December 2011 deadline, giving the Cruden Energy Solutions team just six weeks to complete.
The Management, Installation Teams and Supply Chain all went that extra mile to ensure the deadline was met whist maintaining the highest standards of Cruden attention to detail, quality control and onsite health and safety.
The completed installations ranged from single dwellings for Housing Associations with just 5 panels fitted up to a 212 panel 50KWp installation on a warehouse roof in Nottingham.
Our close relationship with suppliers has been invaluable in allowing Cruden to quickly source and deliver materials where other firms failed. The wealth of skilled tradespeople within the wider Cruden Group allowed additional Installation Teams to be assembled and utilised quickly. Over the busy six weeks they fitted 194KWp of PV which equates to more than 825 solar panels – with the added luck that the winter weather was kind to us.
Since Cruden Energy Solutions started trading in 2010 almost 400KWp of PV Solar Panels has been installed as well heat pumps and solar thermal installations completed, 2012 promises to be another successful year with many interesting projects already in place.
The Cruden Energy Solutions website is due for launch in February 2012 and will provide full details of all the renewable technologies and energy saving services we have to offer.
