The Cruden team have put their fundraising skills to the test to support client Great Places Housing Group (GPHG) to get the festive season off to a fine start by fundraising for the Bargain Bonanza in Blackburn and getting involved in numerous festive parties for local residents.
GPHG undertake a wide range of fund raising activities throughout the year but the festive season always gets that extra push. Cruden were delighted to get involved with local residents and staff alike to raise funds for a number of the Groups charities including their on-going Kenya Project and the GPHG Voice Committee a tenant committee that's supports local causes.
The team from Cruden's Salford office managed to collect and donate four bin bags full of toys, games and teddies to sell at Blackburn's Bargain Bonanza and contributed towards the raffle. Cruden staff Waleed Hashim, Hitesh Patel and Kulsoom Hussain all from the Salford office joined the Great Places staff at the Bonanza to help out which contributed to raising an impressive £300 for the collective charities.
On Saturday 3rd December 2011 the team got busy at Westbury Gardens Church Hall in Blackburn to help run arts, crafts, face painting, henna tattooing and festive food stalls and keeping the many children entertained with music dancing and even and visit from Santa himself.
Mary Brown, Resident Liaison Manager at GPHG commented "I have thoroughly enjoyed the events and it just goes to show what you can achieve working together as a team. Well done everyone. Here's to a continued healthy and successful partnership with Cruden's – it's certainly been a breath of fresh air since September"
The next festive party will be held this coming Saturday 10th December 2012 for residents in Nelson and its set to be just as successful as last weeks.
