On Tuesday 21st June 2011 'The G Team' arrived at Lancasterian SEN School to complete the fourth phase of Cruden's legacy project for our Escalate in the Community volunteering initiative. The fourth phase saw the move of the greenhouse and shed in the previously unused courtyards.
Cruden have held a number of volunteering events with Lancasterian SEN School to transform a range of the outside spaces into functional, fun and stimulating areas the children and staff can enjoy all year around. This time around four of the Cruden team and two members of our supply chin from WMB Electrical Installations Limited relocated the schools garden shed and greenhouse under the watchful eye of Evelyn Uche Parent Support Advisor at Lancasterian. Now the shed and greenhouse has been moved and external lights supplied and fitted by WMB the access has been greatly improved for the children.
Part of the WBM team was Apprentice Philip Giles newly appointed from the Manchester Aspire training model. Cruden are delighted that this fourth and important phase of the project has engaged our supply chain and WMB have joined Cruden in our Escalate in the Community initiative.
The Cruden Ecsalate in the Community team will be at the School again this Tuesday 28th June 2011 to participate in a 'Bling our Yard Event' where volunteers interact with the children to get creative and make some interesting arts and crafts to decorate the outside spaces.
